Probes Cyberrekas’ monetization and rise as emerging powers in a hyperconnected society.

Synopsis

In a hyperconnected world overflowing with information, a new breed of digital inquisitors—known as cyber-rekkas—stands at the center. They are YouTube stars, pop idols, ordinary youth, and even politicians. Monetizing the misfortunes of others, they spread rumors and distortions with viral precision.

The New Human Judges follows their gaze, uncovering a realm saturated with manipulation, edits, and Super Chats. Forged by AI, algorithms, and the forces of neoliberalism, this new monster transcends borders—shaking not just Korea, but the world.

Whose voice can we trust in this era of digital noise?

Director's Statement

The global phenomenon of cyber extremism has evolved beyond individual malicious conformity, becoming a massive industrial and market-driven issue tied to profit. Witnessing this ‘collective madness,’ political power players have begun to align themselves with so-called “cyber-rekkas.” In this hyperconnected era, are these figures the righteous judges of our time—or monsters born from human evolution, artificial intelligence, and neoliberalism?
