Synopsis


Cho Juni, former South Korean surfing national captain, found new purpose in Nazaré’s towering 20m waves. Without money or connections, he faced life-threatening challenges alone, earning support from locals and legends. After surviving near-drowning twice without jet skis or rescue teams, he now prepares for his third attempt. This documentary captures the fierce clash between human will and nature’s extremes.

Director Eric LEE

Director Eric Lee, a Texas native and FSU Film graduate, is a filmmaker who directs global projects across Korea and the U.S., blending cross-cultural creativity with hands-on production expertise. Having worked on major Hollywood blockbusters such as Black Panther, Sense8, and Pacific Rim 2 as part of the AD team in Korea, he brings cinematic precision and international vision to every project he leads.

Producer Ray L. HONG

Ray L. HONG established Storyteller Pictures and won four awards, including Best Picture, at the 24th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for its debut production, Festival (2020). She also participated as a producer in numerous films, including Like You Know It All (2009), which was invited to the Directors' Fortnight at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, as well as Bleak Night(2010) and The Ethics of Fury(2012).
