Director's Statement
Through Kim Minhyung—a mathematician and acclaimed public intellectual who bridges mathematics and the humanities—the film explores the boundary where human intelligence and artificial intelligence intersect. It asks what remains uniquely human in an age when machines generate the right answers, revealing that our defining gift is not producing answers, but asking meaningful questions. Moving between calculation and understanding, computation and imagination, the film examines the fundamental gap that separates human thought from artificial intelligence. This is not a film about AI. It is a film about the human mind in the age of AI.
Director CHOI Jeongdan
CHOI Jeongdan is the CEO and director of Siwol Pictures. Her documentary, In the Sea of Strange Thoughts, a 21-year chronicle of her mentor, the giant of the humanities, Kim Uchang, won two awards at the Moscow International Film Festival.
Producer LEE Soojung
LEE Soo-jung is a producer and director who graduated from the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA). Her documentary Sister J won the BIFF Mecenat Award, and she has served as a juror at Busan International Film Festival, etc.
