Key dates and Deadlines	The application period begins on May 26(FRI), 2023 Deadline: June 25(SUN), 2023, 23:59 (KST)
Eligibility criteria	• Feature-length documentary projects at rough-cut stage K-Project • Only Korean director or producer are eligible to apply GA-Project [Global-Asia Project] • Korean-International co-production projects working with a Korean producer • The documentary has to focus on Korean or Asia related stories. - Grant recipients must be a producer with Korean nationality or a Korean company. (* A guarantee insurance is compulsory for Korean producer or company. In order to guarantee the completion of the project, the production company have to take out a guarantee insurance covering 100% of the amount of the support money.) - For a team without Korean partner, K-DOCS team will provide the opportunity to meet Korean producers for potential collaboration. - For international participants, the airfare and accommodations for ONE of the team will be supported. (Support after consultation with Industry coordinator related to airfare)
Requirements	• The grant recipients should complete the project by June 2024. • The project can be negotiated whether it is screened or broadcast on EIDF 2024. • The project can be negotiated to be available on D-BOX, the OTT platform run by EBS. • The grants can be canceled and returned if the project is not completed without any proper reasons. • This program is supported by Hyundai Home Shopping. The grantees have to agree that up to 10% of their project can be used to promote social programs run by Hyundai. • Ending Credit requirements: “Supported by Hyundai Home Shopping, EIDF and EBS” with logos
Support	Up to 5 projects will receive grants according to the rank of the pitch: <K-Project> 2 projects The two best projects will receive a total of 60 million KRW. The two of best project will receive 30 million KRW each (Industry Choice Award). <GA-Project> for 3 projects The three of best project will receive 20 million KRW each (Industry Choice Award).
Selection Process	Applications will be reviewed by juries consisting of Korean and international senior documentary professionals.
How it works	Applications should be submitted ▷ Materials will be reviewed▷ Finalists will announced (middle of July) ▷ Pitch at the K-DOCS period (middle of August) ▷ Contract with EBS (in September)
Required documents	① Entry form (including the participation agreement) [form attached] ② Consent forms (Personal information consent form, application for participation agreement, Consent form of guarantee declaration that all copyrights have been cleared) [form attached] ③ Proposal (including synopsis, director’s note, treatment, production schedule, budget, financial plan, filmographies of director and producer, max. 15 pages) Has to be submitted in Korean and English ④ Trailer (up to 3 minutes) and edited sequences and rough cut (approx. 10-20 minutes) online screener (vimeo, youtube etc) * All projects need English subtitles ⑤ Budget [form attached] ※ Application materials will not be returned. ※ Incomplete applications cannot be accepted. ※ there might be changes depending on the current situation of COVID-19 guidelines.
Payment Process	• The grant will be divided into two installments : 70% with signing of the contract in September 2023 and 30% after the middle term in May 2024. • The grantees must follow the accounting regulations with running a separate bank account. • Selected projects are subject to interim settlement, interim reporting, and final reporting obligations. ※ The contents of the above announcement may be partially changed due to circumstances
