Synopsis

"Invalidate false impeachment." Since the impeachment of President Park Geun-hye in 2017, I have been frequently seeing doodles in the same handwriting all over the city of Seoul. Whenever I discovered the doodles, I felt as though I was sharing a path with this unknown stranger through the bustling city. Over time, I became curious about the diligent artist whose work straddles the line between graffiti and calligraphy. Although I had never met this familiar artist, I decided to seek him out and witness the birth of his doodles.

Director's Statement

The values represented by the Candlelight Movement were an unquestioned and seamless belief for me. The discovery of the doodles was the first event that shocked my world. Puzzlement soon became curiosity, and I began to wonder about the world outside my boundaries. So I decided to make a brave attempt to understand the doodle writers world. I hope to share this journey of endeavor and challenge with audiences who have encountered beliefs different from their own.
